We make polarized lenses for the latest eyewear fashion

Our innovative lens production technique – Thermofusion™ Technology – gives Polaroid Eyewear huge flexibility when it comes to lens curvature options. We can curve lenses to almost any degree and retain perfect optical clarity. This quality assurance is simply not possible with most other production methods.

Thermofusion™ Technology allows us to make our polarized lenses slightly thicker at the centre and gently taper them towards the edges. Whatever the degree of curve, Thermofusion™ Technology optically ‘fine-tunes’ the lens while it’s being curved to make sure the wearer gets none of the warped vision and eye-strain that some polarized lenses can cause.

As standard, Polaroid Eyewear makes polarized lenses with a curvature of 6-base including masks. We already produce most sizes with a 2, 4, 6 and 8-base curve and we are happy to discuss any other curve requirements. Please call or e-mail us to discuss your options.

Fashionable toric lenses in 4D x 10D
We also create toric versions of most of our lenses in 4-base by 10-base. Toric lenses have two different base curves — one vertical and one horizontal — and are great for fashion styles. These unique lenses meet Optical Standard Class 1 for excellent vision with all the benefits of UV protection and glare-free vision.
